Been starring at these photos for the last couple of minutes having a pretty complex debate in my head about whether I should have worn some fancier footwear with this outfit or whether my laid back Birkenstocks (which btw are my crazy in love thing for this month) were the best choice. It's how I ended up remembering two things:
1 - that sometimes it's just not worth bothering your feet with shoes that are less than 100% comfy. I, for example, took a break from studying that day and spent it visiting a local museum and mindlessly walking around the city discovering some new places. Therefore, no need to get any blisters 'cause Lord knows I have more than enough of those.
2 - that my mom's theory on how the shoes are the item which 'make' an outfit and which can get it from day to night/casual to elegant is nothing more and nothing less than true. Just imagine how I would have looked if I ditched the backpack and was wearing a nice pair of stilettos instead - my guess is probably like someone who at least partly has her sh*t together and cares to look somewhat attractive for the opposite sex. Since that's not the case, I just look like, well... myself.
