Digital Detox - the Aftermath

Digital Detox - the Aftermath

Even though I can't call it a life changing experience, staying offline for 10 days felt so damn good.

The first two days life seemed weird...really weird. My fingers got itchy because I was so used to constant scrolling through news feeds. I would wake up and realize that I can't see what happened over night on facebook and that I had no other alternative but to be either productive or sociable ('cause starring at a wall is no fun). I became calm and I actually managed to get some proper sleep (which hadn't happened in a loong time). My thoughts got soo clear because my mind stopped being crowded with info about what everybody else is up to... oh and I still feel glad that I missed all those Christmas tree photos and #nye non sense. What actually ended up making me anxious was the thought of returning online, but I just couldn't abandon www.hey-blondie.com...

Anyway, if going on a digital detox ever crossed your mind, take this as a sign to go for it. It's probably the healthiest type of detox and I'm sure I'll do it at least once again this year. However, now it's the time to go for a slightly different type of detox in order to recover from all the crazy Christmas food (I'm ashamed by how many cookies I ate...).
