Going on a Digital Detox! Wait...WHAT??!!

In case you ain't familiar with the concept of 'digital detox', it's basically a period during which you refrain from using electronic connecting devices such as laptops, tablets or smartphones (< that's what Wikipedia says). It is supposed to help lower anxiety and get you to be more people oriented.

Well, I have decided to go on a 10 day digital detox. I won't stop using electronic devices completely 'cause I will definitely still need my phone, but I won't go online...at all...I will even erase my Instagram, Facebook and e-mail apps just to make sure. I figured that this is the appropriate time since I'm on vacation from uni and I finally get to see my family and friends. Hopefully it will help me with my insomnia and insane anxiety...

Now I know that this ain't a really festive thing to post around this time of the year, but maybe it will serve as a reminder that all those switch off buttons on our devices are there for a reason. Therefore, I will return on the 3rd of January 2016(!!!) with a post in which I will tell you how my detox went.
