I'm gonna tell you two facts: 1. travelling is my absolute favorite thing in this whole wide world and 2. getting from Manchester to a lot of cool European destinations is a lot more cheaper than it would be from Bucharest or any other place in Romania. Therefore, during those next three years I'll spend studying here I'll try to go on at least one city break each semester.
I decided to start with the most popular and since I've already got to see London, the next one on the list was naturally Paris. I got to explore its pretty streets for three days and my god it really is a romantic city. It might have been the fact that I was there by myself ('cause I'm an independent individual like that), but everywhere I went I saw people kissing/holding hands...it kind of got me depressed and lonely...good thing I get over that kind of stuff fast.
Anyway, after I finished stuffing my face with macarons and croissants, I did all that touristy stuff. It's standard procedure: go and see the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe (how is it called in English??), Sacre-Coeur, Notre Dame, Louvre...ohh and Versailles (I know that's not really in Paris, but it's close by so yeah). Those take a lot of time 'cause there are thousands of tourists and the queues are never ending, but I was lucky enough to get to do some cool things as well - exploring Montmarte, going for a walk down the banks of river Seine at dawn and visiting Espace Dali and Atelier Brancusi were probably some of the best ideas I ever had (guess I'm not one to have many good ideas...).
OK, I'll stop the writing here 'cause if I continue it will get super boring. Even though it's not one of the best places I've ever been to, Paris is still pretty as fuck and it's worth visiting at least once in a lifetime ( < that's the conclusion). I just hope that you'll enjoy the snapshots I took!
